  • If you’re new to energy or sound work, a Reiki session or Sound Healing session is often a great place to start. These sessions allow your body and nervous system to settle and respond without feeling overwhelmed.

If you’re feeling particularly stuck, dysregulated, or curious about a deeper experience, Reiki + Sound Healing offers layered support that many clients find especially grounding and restorative.

The Signature Integrated Session is best for clients seeking a more immersive experience or ongoing support. This session allows time to work across physical, emotional, and energetic layers.

If you’re unsure which option is best, you’re welcome to reach out. I’m happy to help guide you based on what you’re experiencing and what kind of support you’re looking for.

  • No. Prior experience is not required.

Many clients come in with no background in Reiki or sound healing. Sessions are gentle, non-invasive, and guided at a pace that feels supportive for your body and nervous system.

If you do have experience with energy work, sessions can be adapted to meet you where you are and go deeper as appropriate.

  • Reiki works quietly beneath the surface, supporting energetic flow and regulation.

Sound works through vibration, helping the body release tension and re-pattern holding at a cellular level.

When combined at The Inner Alter, they create a layered experience that supports:

    • Nervous system regulation

    • Emotional processing and integration

    • Physical relaxation and relief from chronic tension

    • A return to internal steadiness and clarity

  • Aromatherapy may be incorporated into sessions using high-quality essential oils to gently support relaxation, grounding, or emotional balance. Scents are selected intentionally and used in a subtle way—never overpowering—so they enhance the experience without distracting from it.

Essential oils work through the nervous system via the sense of smell and can help signal the body to soften, settle, and shift out of stress. Many clients find aromatherapy especially supportive for anxiety, restlessness, mental fatigue, or difficulty relaxing.

Use of essential oils is always optional and discussed beforehand. Clients with sensitivities, allergies, or scent aversions are fully accommodated, and fragrance-free sessions are always available.

  • Each experience is unique, but clients commonly report:

    • Deep relaxation or a sense of calm

    • A feeling of heaviness lifting or energy beginning to move

    • Subtle physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, or pulsing

    • Emotional release or clarity

    • A sense of grounding, spaciousness, or integration afterward

Some sessions feel very subtle, while others are more noticeable. Both are normal and supportive. Your body takes what it needs in each session.

  • Distance sessions are based on the understanding that energy is not limited by physical space. Just as we can feel the impact of intention, attention, and connection without being in the same room, Reiki and sound-based work can be offered remotely with focused intention.

For distance Reiki, the session is conducted in a quiet, intentional setting while you relax in your own space. We begin with a brief check-in, followed by the energetic portion of the session, and then time for integration afterward.

Sound carries frequency and vibration, which can be experienced beyond physical proximity. In distance sessions, the focus is on intention, rhythm, and frequency rather than volume or physical sensation.

You do not need to listen to anything live unless otherwise specified. The work is done energetically, and your only role is to rest and receive.Distance sound healing may include the use of tuning forks or recorded sound frequencies designed to support relaxation and nervous system regulation. While the instruments are not physically in the room with you, the session is guided intentionally to support your energetic field.

Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, or emotionally lighter after distance sessions, similar to in-person work.

  • To receive the most benefit, clients are encouraged to:

    • Wear clothing of natural fibers, if possible, such as 100% cotton, linen or wool.

    • Find a quiet, comfortable place to rest

    • Silence notifications if possible

    • Avoid multitasking during the session

    • Drink water afterward and move gently

  • A mini tune-up session is a shorter session designed to provide focused energetic support.

    These sessions are ideal for:

    • Nervous system regulation

    • Post-session integration

    • Periods of stress or emotional heaviness

    • Maintenance between longer sessions

Mini sessions are not intended for deep or layered work, but rather as a supportive reset. They are often booked by returning clients who are familiar with the work and want continued support without a full-length session.

  • A sound bath is a guided, immersive experience where you rest comfortably while therapeutic sound and vibration move through the body. Instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, and tuning forks are played in a structured way to support deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and energetic release.

Rather than “doing” anything, your role is simply to receive. The sounds create a supportive environment where the body can shift out of stress or overdrive and into a more settled, balanced state. Many people experience a sense of calm, emotional release, mental clarity, or deep rest—similar to meditation, but without needing to focus or concentrate.

Sound baths are especially helpful for those experiencing stress, anxiety, mental fatigue, difficulty sleeping, or feeling energetically overwhelmed.

  • Each experience is different. Clients commonly report:

    • A deep sense of calm or grounding

    • Feeling lighter or clearer afterward

    • Subtle emotional release

    • Improved sleep or reduced restlessness

There is no “right” way to feel. The effects may be immediate or continue unfolding over the next 24–48 hours.

  • It’s common to feel:

    • More settled in your body

    • Emotionally lighter or clearer

    • Physically relaxed or pleasantly tired

    • More aware of your internal rhythms

Some people notice subtle shifts over the next few days as the body continues to integrate the work.

Hydration, rest, and gentle movement are encouraged after sessions. Journaling what comes up after a session is also recommended.

  • This varies from person to person.

Some clients book a single session for support during a stressful period, while others choose to work together over several sessions to support ongoing regulation, healing, or integration.

If you’re working through long-standing stress, chronic tension, or emotional patterns, multiple sessions often provide deeper and more lasting benefits. Package options are available for those seeking ongoing support, but there is never an obligation to commit beyond what feels right for you.

  • No. Reiki and sound healing are complementary practices and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic care.

Sessions are designed to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and overall well-being. Many clients choose to receive this work alongside other forms of care such as physical therapy, psychotherapy, massage, or medical treatment.

If you are under the care of a healthcare provider, this work can often be a supportive addition, but it should not replace treatment or advice from licensed medical or mental health professionals.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing that allows your body to relax.

Natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, or wool are recommended when possible. These materials tend to respond more gently to sound and frequency.

To support the sound healing portion of sessions, clients are asked to avoid clothing with metal zippers, buttons, snaps, or heavy hardware, as metal can interfere with vibration and resonance.

You do not need to remove clothing during the session, and you’re welcome to bring layers if you tend to feel cool while resting

  • Reiki is generally considered gentle and supportive during pregnancy and is offered without pressure, manipulation, or deep physical work. Sessions are adapted for comfort, including positioning, pacing, and sensory considerations.

Sound healing may be incorporated in a subtle and grounding way. If you are pregnant, please let me know before booking so the session can be tailored appropriately. Certain instruments or frequencies may be modified or omitted based on individual comfort.

As with any complementary practice, Reiki and sound healing are not a replacement for medical care. Clients are encouraged to consult with their healthcare provider if they have specific concerns.

  • Yes. Sessions are held with care for sensory sensitivity, nervous system regulation, and individual needs. This includes adjustments to sound levels, lighting, touch preferences, pacing, and communication style.

Clients are always invited to share sensory preferences or boundaries in advance. Sessions can be completely hands-off, low-sensory, or modified as needed to create a calm and supportive experience.

  • That’s completely okay. Sessions are fully customizable. Sound can be softened or omitted, touch is always optional, and aromatherapy is never required.

Your comfort and sense of safety are prioritized at all times.

  • Yes. Sessions are responsive and client-led. You’re welcome to speak up at any point if something feels too intense or if you need a pause or adjustment.

There is no expectation to “push through” discomfort.
